Accessibility

The Accessible British Columbia Regulation, under the Accessible British Columbia Act, came into force on September 1, 2022. These regulations identify schools as prescribed organizations; school districts and independent schools will be required to have an Accessibility Committee, an Accessibility Plan, and a tool to receive feedback on accessibility by September 1, 2023.

The goal of the Act is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and involve them in identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to their full participation in the life of the province.

ArtsCalibre Academy is committed to ensuring that all students and staff have equitable access to our programs, services, and building. We recognize the importance of accessibility for those with disabilities as well as the entire community.

Our Accessibility Plan

ArtsCalibre Academy's Accessibility Three-Year Plan is based on the Accessibility Principles of Adaptability, Collaboration, Diversity, Inclusion, Self-Determination, and Universal Design, as set out in the Act.

ArtsCalibre Academy has developed a barrier reporting form to allow members of our school community to include information about their accessible experiences. Responses can be anonymous, or a name and contact information can be provided if you wish to be contacted. If you would like to provide your feedback on the plan, please use the barrier reporting form.

If you would like to obtain a copy of our Accessibility Plan, please email: accessibility@artscalibre.ca.

If you would like to provide feedback on the plan, or if you have questions or comments, please email: accessibility@artscalibre.ca.
