Before/After School (Extra-Curricular) Programs

These programs are available to registered ArtsCalibre Academy students only.  Further information and online registration for our separate Community Programs (open to the general public) can be found here.

ArtsCalibre Academy provides quality Before/After School Care as well as specialized classes for our registered students, starting at at a very affordable $10.00 per hour.  Before School Care (when available due to sufficient demand) runs from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM daily (or 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM), taking students right up to the start of our regular class schedule.

After School Care runs from 3:00 PM (regular class dismissal) to 5:00 PM daily.  The specialized classes listed on our Extra-Curricular Registration Form run from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (or later) at either our 2625 Arbutus Road or 3909 St. George's Lane campus, as indicated on the registration form itself.  These classes range in price from $11.00 (for most) to $15.00 per hour (for Fencing).

Under the supervision of our outstanding staff, After School Care provides students with opportunities to socialize and "synergize" with their friends and classmates in a safe, positive environment outside of our regular classes.  Students are invited to engage in any appropriate individual or group activity — including but not limited to:

  • quiet study/collaboration on assignments or Fine Arts activities
  • reading, board games or sports
  • student-created/led clubs
  • participation in specialized classes, or Community Programs classes when available (see above).

Registration Deadlines for the 2024/2025 school year:

  • Term 1  (September 9th, 2024 to January 24th, 2025) — Friday, September 6th, 2024
  • Term 2  (January 27th to June 13th, 2025)                 — Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025

 

Please Note: Our extra-curricular program fees are not eligible for the Ministry of Education and Child Care's Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) program.  They are, however, considered tax deductible child care expenses on your annual income tax return.  Email our Accounting team at payments@artscalibre.ca to request official tax receipts for that purpose.
