Our Philosophy and Approach
At ArtsCalibre we strive to offer individualized programming for students, enabling all to achieve their full potential. In their daily academics, students will enjoy interest-based activities delivered by specialized teaching teams.
As part of this high quality program, teachers integrate the Arts into their lessons as much as possible, promoting a deeper and more enriched understanding of the curriculum. This stimulates students' intellects and peaks their curiosity, creativity and imagination. The beauty of these techniques is that they easily engage the students, and immediately help create an environment for focused inquiry and cross-curricular learning opportunities. This places greater emphasis on problem-solving and creative thinking through engagement in kinesthetic and interactive experiences.
The Arts are an integral part of the ArtsCalibre curriculum, promoting creativity and self-expression while also teaching patience and teamwork. Exposure to the Arts expands students' ability to look at issues from multiple perspectives, and to invent unique solutions to them.
Middle School Program (Grades 7 to 9)
Students enrolled in this program are encouraged to approach learning with unbridled curiosity, to think unconventionally and "question the norm", and to seek new perspectives in building their creative capacities. The collective power of this learning environment fosters the development of passionate and thoughtful members of both the local and global community. At the heart of our core curriculum lies our ability to accommodate each students' natural curiosity. Through experiential, theme-based activities, we are able to deliver outstanding instruction across all subjects.
